Our resident make-up artist and all round skin guru Tasha: www.natashadevedlaka.com offers her best advice on the make-up which stands strong even in summers hot hot heat! Below she recounts previous shoots in the sun and how to combat melting make-up.
It's hard doing makeup in the heat & generally less is more. Over the years of shooting & using it on myself, these are the Products I love old & new:
Skin: As a base coat to even out redness or to warm up the face I like Wonder glow by Charlotte Tillbury. It's a great summer base!
The best Powder bronzers I love to use are by bobby brown, Nars & Benefit. If a liquid or cream with a bronzed tone on your skin is more your thing then I would go for the Giorgio Armani liquid summer bronzer or the Chanel soleil tan. For an all over body glow I love Scott Barnes body bling and Palmers cocoa butter body gloss.
Cheeks: For cheeks I love Daniel Sandler Water colour fluid it's so easy to apply & stays put. I sometimes use it as a base & apply a powder blush on top for a stronger look. My favourite colours are - Cupid, spicy & orange for more of a statement glow!
Cheeks and Lips: Becca beach tint is a cult classic, it has a matt texture & great pigment - water melon is the shade I use the most.
Lips: Sometimes just a bright lippy is enough in hot weather-NARS Matt velvet lip pencil are brill & don't budge or melt - fave shades are Dragon girl, dolce Vita & mysterious red & red square.
Eyes: Urban decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil ( great for a pop of colour, I love Deep end, roach & LSD) Even in the heat I wear mascara I always use Estée Lauder Double wear I prefer it to waterproof as Easier to remove.
