Had too much fun over the party season? If so your hair is probably looking dull with brittle ends, frizz, and breakage. Or maybe chemically overtreating or over styling your hair? Either way, here are your answers to fix dehydrated, hungover hair...
Firstly it is time to switch up your shampoo and conditioner for one which is going to add moisture into your hair. A shampoo with macadamia, coconut or olive oil in is a sure bet to add nourishment and moisture.
Two products we would recommend are:
Frederic Fekkai Luscious curls shampoo and conditioner: This shampoo enhances the natural texture of curly hair and adds a healthy amount of moisture.
Aromachologie repairing shampoo: Leaves hair feeling shiny, silky and supple with added bounce.
"Hair that looks and feels like it’s been through a drought is easier to treat than you might think."
Drink lots of water!
H2O is a must. Alcohol is a diuretic and can cause dehydration. Before falling into bed, down 3 large glasses of water or at least keep it beside your bed for when you wake up in the middle of the night because being dehydrated internally will seriously takes its toll on your hair and skin.
Inhale Vitamins like there's no tomorrow:
If you normally take a multi, go ahead, but a nutritious shake from one of our recipes here:
And last of all... Sleep through it!
Consistent sleep patterns and a bunch of restful sleep will help to maintain the body’s natural melatonin and cortisol levels within ranges which promote good overall wellness. When the body is strong and healthy, the hair is also able to be strong, lush and in positive growth mode. (and who doesn't to sleep through a hangover)
